I am Featherwoman, spirit name Megwunekwe — “Truth,” founder of Featherwoman Publishing, an Indigenous woman-owned independent literary press dedicated to visionary storytelling, embodied knowledge, and living cosmology.
My work moves at the intersection of Anishinaabeg cosmology, contemporary inquiry, and lived experience. I explore memory, resonance, and the intelligence of the land — where story becomes structure and theory becomes practice.
I am the author of the nine-book series Aki and the Dreamworlds, a speculative cosmology that follows Aki — Earth and Cosmos — as she births new worlds through breath, song, and harmonic law. Each volume carries ancestral teaching, scientific curiosity, and the unfolding continuity of creation across time.
Alongside my publishing work, I offer coaching, land-based, focusing-oriented practice, and intuitive guidance grounded in relational accountability and embodied awareness. My approach integrates narrative, presence, and disciplined inquiry — supporting those who seek clarity, integration, and a return to their own truth.
This work stands as a bridge between the ancient and the emergent, between knowledge and lived experience, and between what has been carried forward and what is still unfolding.
Featherwoman Publishing is an Indigenous woman-owned independent literary press devoted to story as a living system of knowledge. The press was founded to explore the meeting place between imagination, cosmology, and lived experience.
Through visionary fiction, research, and reflective writing, the press brings forward work that honours both ancestral knowledge and contemporary inquiry. It is a space where narrative becomes a bridge between disciplines — connecting story, creativity, science, land, and consciousness.
The central publishing project is the nine-book series Aki and the Dreamworlds, an unfolding cosmology that follows the birthing of worlds through resonance, memory, and creation. Future works will continue to explore the relationships between story, knowledge systems, and the evolving understanding of our place in the cosmos.
Featherwoman Publishing also supports writers, researchers, and creative practitioners who seek to develop work rooted in authenticity, relational awareness, and intellectual curiosity.
At its heart, the press is guided by a simple principle:
Story carries knowledge.
Knowledge carries responsibility.
And responsibility shapes the future.
Professional inquiries, collaboration requests, and speaking engagements.
